Chilton New Home Worker Group
The first meeting of a new group for home workers and people running businesses from home has set up.
Chilton resident, Fiona Edlington, who works as a Human Resource manager from her home, is looking forward to meeting other people who work as she does. She has set a date for a first meeting on Thursday 9 December at 11am.
There are many people in rural Oxfordshire running home based businesses. The potential for sharing experience, collaboration and socialising which exists when you go out to work has to be created when you work from home. The problem is getting to find out about each other. Some people use business networking groups such as 4Networking or The Late Breakfast. Others swear by online social media - Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter. Still others have created regular lunch clubs - as in Chadlington and Adderbury.
ORCC is supporting people in the rural communities, like Fiona, who want to get together with others locally for mutual benefit. This is entirely informal and there is no pressure to "sell" or "network". If you live in Chilton or the surrounding area, please support Fiona and come along on Thursday 9 December at 11.00am.
