Hook Norton Self-Employed Group
A key factor in the initial formation group was the bringing together
of people recently finding themselves establishing new self employed businesses
for the first time. Several of these people had recently gone through unexpected
job changes through redundancy and experiencing the associated emotional
issues Sharing the challenges and uncertainties of establishing a
business, while making large lifestyle changes, was helpful for the group. The
challenge as the group develops, is to maintain a stimulating environment which
attracts and provides value to people at many stages of their business
development.
Our objective is to provide a forum and network to inspire business growth
and to discuss and find solutions to the practical issues associated with
running a business from home. Our group brings together people from varied
backgrounds and with different levels of experience, several of our members have
been in business for many years. We aim to provide opportunity to combine
business oriented topics with aspects of motivation and inspiration and support
in a friendly non-intimidating forum.
